Twitter PARTY! R.S.V.P. for 2011 All About Autism Series End CELEBRATION

Twitter PARTY! R.S.V.P. for 2011 All About Autism Series End CELEBRATION

The month of April is coming to an end. We have all written, read, commented, tweeted, Facebooked, talked with others, educated, and questioned the challenges around Autism. We have done this here, on other sites, for magazines, neighbors, family members, truly wherever we go. Because Autism Awareness, truly Autism Understanding and Acceptance, doesn’t end with the closing of the United States recognized designation of the month of April for Autism Awareness.

Autism Understanding and Acceptance is something we each take with us wherever we go. Autism is a part of us, our family, our children, maybe our friends, family or community. It never leaves us. We live it.

And quite frankly, Autism is hard. The challenges are more than many of us can express in a mere 500 words or less. Possibly all the time in the world, all the words in the world would lend us ill suited to describe to another unaffected individual what a diagnosis of Autism is. Autism…a Spectrum Disorder, is so varied. So dissimilar and so similar all at the same time. I know not of many other things that could be described as such.

And every time I say Autism is hard, I hear ringing in the echos of my mind, my thoughts, tingling on the edges of my soul…if I think it’s hard for me, it’s harder for him.

Which is why, for the end of the All About Autism Series we’re celebrating. No statistics. No serious, what do you do when the ignorant folk behind you whisper nasty comments and leak childish giggles when your child struggles so…all while you just try to fill your panties with the gluten, casein, soy, egg, peanut free items your little love needs.

All About Autism Twitter Party
