There’s not a lot of things that say Happy Saint Patrick’s Day like this disturbingly green, sinfully rich, made from scratch, completely delectable, cheesecake filled green velvet cake. Based on a red velvet cake adapted by my hero, Recipe Girl , this cake will amp up the Irish of any St. Patrick’s Day dinner. If you are a red velvet cake fan, you will love this cake. Green Velvet Cheesecake Cake Steps in Photo

I’m going to apologize now for not having pictures of the same caliber of Recipe Girl. That girl has serious cake decorating and picture taking skills. I was doing good to get pictures without little monster hands in the frame! But, I digress. This cake does take quite a bit of time since everything is made from scratch, and cooling times must be included. Do not be intimidated by the amount of instructions. All told, there are three recipes here, and instructions for each. Just break it down, do one thing at a time, and you’ll be fine.
