When my son Caden was diagnosed with autism a little past his 2nd birthday in 2008, I knew very little about the spectrum. My research and our daily experiences quickly revealed the misconceptions that exist about autism and individuals on the spectrum. As a result we decided to create an awareness campaign focused on increasing awareness one picture at a time. You can find Caden’s Autism Heroes here.
At Caden’s Autism Heroes we feature individuals with ASDs. We never include locations or last names for safety reasons but we welcome pictures and stories—anything individuals or their families which to share with us. In November we are doing something a little different—we want to turn the spotlight to the often unsung heroes in the daily life of autism—SIBLINGS! If you would like to feature your children or know individuals who would like to share—please contact me on facebook (Jennifer Butler Modaff) or by email @butlermodaff.gmail.com. We’d love to have you stop by Caden’s Autism Heroes and maybe share your story with us!

Well, I think Jennifer said it all. I love her concepts and hope to add J’s siblings to Caden’s Heros sometime soon…after all, they should be celebrated too. What do you think?
